Lodging capacity
What is the maximum number of guests per accommodation?
For safety and insurance reasons, the maximum number of people allowed in mobile homes must not be exceeded. The maximum capacity of camping pitches is 6 people. For mobile homes, simply refer to the model name. If it’s a 4/5-person mobile home, the maximum capacity is 5 people. Generally speaking, the maximum capacity of our accommodation is 6 people.
When booking, it is essential to state the full names and dates of birth of all occupants (including babies). If you have forgotten to mention a person, please contact us on 02.51.59.36.28.
Is a baby considered a person?
A baby is effectively considered a person in its own right.
Vehicles
How many vehicles are allowed per reservation? Where can I park?
Only one vehicle is allowed per pitch.
The second vehicle may be parked in the campsite parking lot.
Tourist taxes
What is the tourist tax?
The tourist tax is collected on behalf of the Communauté de Communes Pays de Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, to which our commune of Saint Hilaire de Riez belongs, and may be increased by an additional departmental tax. The tourist tax per night and per adult (over 18) is 0.65 centimes.
Reservation cancellation
How do I cancel a reservation?
If you have subscribed to the cancellation / interruption of stay insurance offered by the campsite, please refer to the explanatory brochure.

Animals
Are pets allowed?
We accept cats and dogs (except category 1 and 2). The weight of your pet must not exceed 12 kilos. Dogs must be kept on a leash in the campsite. Dogs must not be left alone in the accommodation. All pets must be tattooed or chipped. You must bring an up-to-date vaccination certificate and pay a supplement.
Paying for your stay
How do I pay for my stay?
You can pay for your stay by credit card, cheque, bank transfer, ANCV vacation vouchers (paper and connect) and cash. Cheques should be avoided if possible. You have access to your “Customer Area” to make payments and pay the deposit on D – 7.
How do I pay by credit card, cheque or bank transfer?
If you have chosen to pay by credit card, you must log in to your “Customer Area” and pay in complete security (3D secure). You can also contact us on 02.51.59.36.28 and we’ll take your payment by telephone (distance selling).
If you have chosen to pay by cheque, please make it payable to “Camping Domaine des Salins” at the following address:

Payment of balance
When do you have to pay the balance of your reservation?
We must receive payment of the balance of your stay no later than 1 month before the start of your stay.
How can I pay my balance?
If you have booked online: you will receive an e-mail 1 month before your arrival telling you to pay your balance, and you can choose the payment option of your choice.
If you have booked by telephone or e-mail, you can pay your balance by credit card (on the “Customer Area” or by contacting us on 02.51.59.36.28) or by bank transfer.
Vacation vouchers
Do you accept paper and/or connect vacation vouchers?
Yes, we accept paper vacation vouchers. They should be sent to us by post, preferably by registered mail. We also accept connect vacation vouchers and have an approval number. For this method of payment, simply contact us by telephone and we’ll carry out the transaction together. Paper and connect ANCV vacation vouchers are accepted on booking and on site.
Tip: with connect vacation vouchers, choose the amount of your choice. You’re no longer limited to €10, €20, €25 and €50.
Vacaf assistance
Are you VACAF approved?
Yes, the campsite is VACAF approved. To make a reservation with a VACAF subsidy, please contact us on 02.51.59.36.28, providing your beneficiary number and contact details. Our access to the Vacaf “hébergeurs” site enables us to find out the amounts of vacation aid and to block bookings.
Bookings with Vacaf assistance cannot be made via
our online booking system, but exclusively by telephone or e-mail.
Ticket Restaurant
Do you accept luncheon vouchers?
Yes, we are affiliated to the Commission Nationale des Titres Restaurants and accept vouchers from various issuers: Apetiz, Benefix, Sodexo, RestoFlash, Swile, Edenred, Updéjeuner, Wedoofood, Wiismile, Worklife. We also accept payment cards from these issuers.
Arrival and departure times
What are the arrival and departure times?
Arrival and departure times vary according to the period and type of accommodation.
Low season: April, May, June and September
For mobile homes: arrival from 11am and departure until 4pm for short stays.
Arrival from 2.30pm and departure until 10am for weekly stays and long stays.
For camping pitches: arrival from 2pm and departure until 12am.
July and August:
For mobile homes: arrival from 3pm and departure until 10am
For pitches: arrival from 2.30 p.m. to departure until 12 p.m.
For “L’Ecrin des Pins” premium chalets: arrival from 4pm and departure until 10am.
What to do if you arrive outside the times indicated?
In the event of early arrival, please report to reception and we will inform you of the procedure to follow.
In the event of late arrival, please inform us in advance and we will inform you of the procedure to follow. A “late arrival” procedure is in place and works very well.
Deposit
Why is a deposit required?
You will be asked to pay a deposit for each mobile home. This can be done online, via our “Customer Area” (access codes sent by e-mail upon booking) 7 days before your arrival. This is a secure payline deposit (3D secure), with no debit. The deposit will be cancelled after an inventory of fixtures in the presence of a responsible person.
The amount is €300, including €100 for failure to keep the premises clean.
Wifi
Is there Wi-Fi at the campsite?
Wifi is available throughout the campsite. A fee of 2 €/day – 10 €/week -17 €/2 weeks will be charged if you wish to use it. You can reserve your package at the time of booking, on arrival or at any time during your stay.
Entertainment
What activities are on offer at the campsite? When do they start?
You’ll find all the entertainment on offer at the campsite on our website, under www.domainedessalins.com/animations-camping-vendee
Entertainment is only available in July and August.
Are daytime activities free? Do I have to register?
Yes, all daytime activities are free of charge, except for the pétanque tournament.
Registrations must be made in advance at reception if mentioned in the activities program.
What about evening entertainment?
Evenings such as karaoke, dances, concerts and shows are free of charge and do not require registration.
For the lotto evening, cards can be purchased at the beginning of the evening: €2 per card, €5 per 3 cards and €10 per 7 cards.
Themed meals are subject to payment and registration at the snack bar.
Kids Club
Is the Kids Club fee-based? When is it available?
The kids’ club is free, but some activities require prior registration. These can be made as soon as you arrive at the campsite, after the welcome drink on Sunday morning.
The kids’ club is open in July and August.
Swimsuit
Are swimming shorts allowed in swimming pools? Are caps mandatory?
Access to the pool is restricted to people wearing swimming trunks or boxer shorts, one-piece or two-piece swimsuits, to the exclusion of all other clothing. Bathing caps are not compulsory.
Campsite gates
What are the gate times?
Gates are open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The campsite is accessible by car using the code or badge provided when you check in at reception. If you arrive after the gates have closed, please park your vehicle in the visitors’ parking lot at the campsite entrance and walk to your pitch.
As a reminder:
Speeding inside the premises is limited to 10 km/h, and traffic is strictly prohibited between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., for everyone’s safety and sleep.
Walking and cycling are permitted at all hours.
Campsite location
Is there a bus into town?
From June 15 to September 15, the Navette “La Littorale” serves Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, St-Jean-de-Monts and St Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, as well as Noirmoutier. The “Les Becs” stop is located 400 m from the campsite entrance.
The fare is €0.50 per journey.
Where's the beach?
The beach is 800 m from the campsite. It can be reached on foot (approx. 15 minutes). Campsite guests have access to the forest from the campsite, by bike or by car (approx. 3 min, free parking at the entrance).
It’s a family-friendly beach, equipped with a lifeguard station in July and August.
Services
What does the campsite lend?
We lend out at reception: vacuum cleaner, iron, kettle, hairdryer, baby bath and ping-pong rackets (ping-pong balls on sale at €0.50 each).
Do you offer a ticketing service?
Yes, we offer discounted tickets for : Atlantique Toboggan, Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou (booking at least 72 hours in advance), Planète Sauvage, Ile d’Yeu and Explora Parc Accrobranche.

Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes, 3 washing machines and 2 dryers are available in the campsite laundry 24 hours a day. Tokens can be purchased at reception for €5 each for the washing machine and €4.50 for the dryer.
The mobile home and its pitch
Is it possible to pitch a tent next to the mobile home or on a pitch?
When renting a mobile home, it is compulsory to ask the campsite reception beforehand if it is possible to install a small tent in place of the car. For safety and insurance reasons, the campsite reserves the right to refuse to accept a tent next to the mobile home.
In all cases, the campsite will systematically refuse the installation of a tent if the total number of people exceeds the capacity of the mobile home.
On the other hand, you can rent a bare pitch to install a tent, in addition to your mobile home rental.
Is it possible to choose a specific location?
Depending on availability, you can choose a specific location. This must be confirmed at the time of booking, preferably by telephone. Based on your request, we’ll assign you accommodation that’s as close as possible to your wishes.
Is it possible to book two mobile homes side by side?
Depending on availability, you can book two mobile homes side by side. This must be confirmed at the time of booking, preferably by telephone.
Are sheets, comforters, etc. provided?
Are beds equipped with comforters and pillows?
Pillows and comforters are provided in all our accommodations. We also supply mattress protectors and pillow protectors.
Are sheets and towels provided?
Towels and bed linen are not provided. However, you can rent sheets from the campsite when you make your reservation. The cost is €12 per bed and per stay.
Television
Is your accommodation equipped with a television?
Television is included in all rentals. There is no additional cost.
Air conditioning
Does your accommodation have air conditioning?
None of our accommodations have air conditioning.
Baby Kit
Can I rent a baby kit?
We offer a range of baby equipment for hire separately or in kit form (chair and cot).
The kit costs €20 per week. The cot (equipped with an additional mattress) is rented individually at €15 per week, and the highchair at €10 per week.
As stock is limited, it is advisable to reserve before your arrival.
For reasons of hygiene, sheets and undersheets are not provided for the cot.
We also provide a baby room in the sanitary block free of charge.
Barbecues
Is it possible to install a barbecue on a pitch?
Barbecues are not permitted on pitches. Collective areas for charcoal barbecues are available on the campsite free of charge.
You may use a small electric barbecue on your pitch, outside the mobile home and terrace, subject to safety regulations.
Departure
Can I leave early in the morning?
Yes. You can leave before reception opens. Please note…to respect the sleep of our guests, the gates only open from 7am. If you wish to leave at dawn, we invite you to leave your vehicle in the outside parking lot and walk there in peace and quiet.
However, you must inform reception in advance so that we can give you all the information you need to organize your departure.
We remind you that you are responsible for your rental and that the inventory of fixtures will therefore be carried out without your presence.
The rental must be returned in a perfectly clean condition. If this is not the case, we will be obliged to retain your €100 cleaning deposit.
