From April 1st at the 4-star Camping Domaine des Salins in St Hilaire de Riez, near St Jean de Monts!
The 4-star Domaine des Salins campsite is above all a family affair! Owners Joseph and Michelle Vrignaud acquired Domaine des Salins in 2006.
From the start, their daughter Céline accompanied them. A duo with Joseph began that would last more than 10 years. With the owner well into retirement, Guillaume, the youngest of the couple’s three children, joined the team in 2015. He is in charge of upkeep and maintenance at the campsite, and during the two summer months, he changes hats and becomes snack-bar manager!
Adèle joined the reception team in 2017 to welcome and inform you throughout your stay. Her in-depth knowledge of the local landscape and infectious smile quickly made Adèle a valuable teammate to the happy team at Camping Domaine des Salins in Vendée! Jacques, the ever-active maintenance man, completes the team, and has been familiar with every nook and cranny of the campsite since autumn 2017.
Seasonal workers join us during the summer period and fill the positions of snack-bar staff, entertainers and barman/barmaid. They are selected for their interpersonal skills and dynamism, as they are an important part of the campsite’s positive atmosphere.

From our very first phone call, you’ll understand that we treat everyone as an individual, and when you arrive, it’s just a continuation of what we started together a few months or weeks before.

Our commitment to the environment
In the camping world, the environment is part and parcel of our nature. It’s just impossible not to deal with it. And we, at the 4-star Camping Domaine des Salins near Saint Jean de Monts, have decided to explain to you what we’re doing to protect the environment: actions, always actions, and a clear and committed line of conduct.
First of all, both the outdoor and indoor pools are heated by air/water heat pumps. This system guarantees us reduced energy consumption and a constant temperature, as they are reliable and competent tools.
Then, when we built the indoor swimming pool and the new sanitary facilities, we decided to install solar panels for the production of domestic hot water (for showers and washbasins). These solar panels enable us to be almost self-sufficient in terms of domestic hot water, and to provide a quality service to our campers.
In addition, the entire campsite is equipped with low-energy lighting. Whether in the mobile homes and chalets, in the lanes or in the buildings: snack bar, sanitary facilities, reception, these are all low-energy bulbs.
Returning to the sanitary facilities, one of the most energy-intensive areas of the campsite, they are systematically fitted with timed taps with aerators, as is the case in the accommodation. This choice has enabled us to save water. Of course, it’s also up to each and every one of us to avoid wasting water. Our “water” contract is negotiated as fairly as possible to ensure that the service is guaranteed, and each and every one of us helps to keep costs at a coherent level.
Last but not least, there’s the fundamental issue of waste sorting. Over the last few years, this issue has evolved considerably, and it’s important to review the actions that have been put in place:
