A campsite near the Vendée islands

Visit the islands of Vendée and explore their natural heritage from the Domaine des Salins 4-star campsite: NOIRMOUTIER & ILE D'YEU.

Here you will see some remarkable fauna and flora. There are also cycling and hiking trails all over the island. Make the most of the many fine sandy beaches providing ideal conditions for swimming, walking, shellfish picking, seaside fishing and all the water sports. Explore the gastronomic treasures from the land and the sea. To get to this nature-rich island, visitors take an internationally unique route that lies underwater at high tide: the Gois Passage.

The island is located 17km off the Vendée coast. It has a wide range of landscapes concentrated on 23 km² of land emerging from the sea: long beaches and coastal dunes planted with resinous trees; a wild coast with high cliffs around white sand creeks; heaths with low grass where armerias sway in the breeze; hollow paths criss-crossing the valleys and running alongside the cliffs; abundant woodland sheltered by the foliage of willows and blackthorn, and small houses with tiled roofs and colourful shutters.

A ticket service is available at the Domaine des Salins campsite reception offering great prices on trips leaving from Saint Gilles Croix de Vie.
